"Success in life has nothing to do with what you gain in life or accomplish for yourself. It's what you do for others."
Danny Thomas, Arab American and Founder of St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital
AABAR is proud and excited to announce the formation of The Arab American Bar Association Scholarship Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable education fund. Dedicated to supporting aspiring lawyers, the Foundation provides essential resources for academic and professional success. Rooted in the belief that education is the cornerstone of empowerment, we stand committed to bridging the gap between ambition and achievement by offering scholarships to our law student members and advancing justice for all.
A scholarship is not just financial assistance, it is an act of faith in our future as Arab American lawyers. It is the single most important thing we can do to encourage law students to enter the legal profession and to protect the Rule of Law, especially at this important time. The AABAR Scholarship Foundation will award scholarships to meritorious law students attending an accredited Illinois law school pursuing a juris doctorate degree who have demonstrated interest in and commitment to the Arab American community through coursework, extracurricular activities, leadership, service, or volunteering. The number of scholarships will be decided based upon available funds. The availability of scholarships will be made known to various Illinois law school admissions offices. The criteria used to select recipients includes academic performance, financial need, community involvement, leadership, and dedication to the Rule of Law.
